Two studio days to understand and experience the rules and principles of one of the most intriguing painting techniques.

Participants will receive recordings of the 4 sessions.

The workshop will explore and experiment with the rules and characteristics of the trompe l'oeil technique.

Materials and equipment.

Preparation and use of media.

Hints at the rules of perspective.

Theory of light and shadow

Color

Participants will be guided step by step to the preparation of a support and the creation of 4 moldings using the trompe l'oeil technique.

Learning the use of color and the theory of trompe l'oeil.

Composition and characteristics of the technique through the study of 4 moldings.

Objectives:

Development of artistic and evaluative skills necessary for the realization and understanding of the trompe l'oeil technique.

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

- interpret pictorially the shadows and lights of an architectural subject.

- realize threading with a brush.

- realize the colors in the different shades and contrast necessary in relation to a trompe l'oeil.
